Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ZONEPLAY platform, including our website and application (the "Service"), operated by ZONEPLAY Website Application Services (Business Reg. No. DTI BN 8129273), located at Brgy. Daro, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental 6200, Philippines. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which form part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

ZONEPLAY is a marketplace that connects pickleball players with independent partner venues. Through the Service you can discover venues, book courts by the hour, reserve open play sessions, find and join matches with other players, and record ranked match results. ZONEPLAY facilitates bookings and payments only; the courts, sessions, and playing conditions are provided solely by the respective venues, and ZONEPLAY is not a party to the arrangement between you and a venue or between you and other players.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to make bookings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or are used fraudulently.

4. Bookings and payments

  • Court and session prices are set by venues and shown, together with the platform service fee, before you confirm payment.
  • A platform service fee is applied at checkout. The total amount payable is always itemized before payment.
  • Payments are processed by licensed payment service providers, currently Xendit and PayMongo, depending on the venue and the type of payment. By paying, you also agree to the terms of the provider that processes your payment. We do not receive or store your full card or e-wallet credentials.
  • A booking is confirmed only after payment is successfully completed and you receive a confirmation.
  • All payments through the Service are final. ZONEPLAY does not process refunds. Any refund, credit, or rebooking is at the discretion of, and settled directly with, the venue, as described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: payments are final on the platform, refunds for paid bookings are handled directly between you and the venue, and the platform service fee is non-refundable. Coaching sessions paid in the app follow their own rules (section 11 of that policy).

6. Subscriptions

  • Player Pro is an optional paid pass that unlocks additional features for a fixed 30-day period per purchase.
  • Venue partners can use the venue console free of charge, including listing and taking bookings. An optional paid venue subscription (Pro) raises the limit on how many courts a venue may run and adds social sharing. It works the same way as Player Pro (a fixed 30-day period per purchase, no auto-renewal, non-refundable) and is governed by our Venue Partner Terms. No subscription is required to play or book as a player.
  • Pro passes do not auto-renew and we do not store a payment method for recurring billing. Renewing before expiry extends your existing pass by 30 days.
  • Pro pass purchases are final and non-refundable, including for unused time. Feature limits for free accounts (such as monthly match join caps) are described in the app and may change with notice.

7. Matches, ratings, and community conduct

Skill ratings are calculated automatically from recorded match results and are provided for matchmaking purposes only, without any guarantee of accuracy. You agree to record match results honestly. Manipulating results, harassing other players, or misusing matchmaking features may result in suspension or termination of your account.

8. Assumption of risk

Pickleball is a physical activity that carries an inherent risk of injury. You participate in bookings, open play, and matches at your own risk and are responsible for ensuring you are fit to play. ZONEPLAY does not operate courts and is not responsible for the safety, condition, or supervision of any venue or session.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it, scraping it, making fraudulent bookings or payments, circumventing fees, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

10. Venue responsibilities

Venues are independent businesses responsible for the accuracy of their listings, the availability, safety, and condition of their courts, honoring confirmed bookings, and settling any refunds directly with players. Venue participation on the platform is governed by our Venue Partner Terms. ZONEPLAY is not liable for the acts or omissions of venues.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by ZONEPLAY Website Application Services or its licensors. You retain ownership of content you submit (such as profile photos) and grant us a non-exclusive license to display it as needed to operate the Service.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law: the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind; ZONEPLAY is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, for personal injury arising from play, or for the acts or omissions of venues or other users; and our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the platform service fee you paid on the booking giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Philippine law.

13. Coaching

ZONEPLAY lets independent coaches publish coaching sessions and lets players book them.

  • Who coaches are: coaches are independent. They are not employees or agents of ZONEPLAY. We review each coach before players can find them. We do not supervise sessions and are not responsible for the instruction a coach gives. Sections 8 and 12 of these Terms apply to coaching sessions as they do to play.
  • Paying a coach: a coach chooses, per session, how players may pay. Paying in the app: ZONEPLAY collects the session price plus a platform service fee through our payment provider, and the session is confirmed once the payment succeeds. Paying the coach directly: in cash or by a QR code the coach provides; ZONEPLAY does not receive, hold, collect or refund that money, and any question about it is between the player and the coach. A free session costs nothing.
  • Reservations: a reservation to pay the coach directly holds the spot until the coach marks the payment received. If that has not happened 2 hours before the start, the spot is released. A free session is booked at once. A payment in the app must be completed within the time shown at checkout, or the spot is released.
  • Cancelling: a player may cancel a spot paid directly, or a free spot, before the session starts. A spot paid in the app may be cancelled until 24 hours before the start. A coach may cancel a session, and every booked player is told. Refunds of sessions paid in the app follow section 11 of the Refund & Cancellation Policy. A coach who cancels a session a player paid them for directly returns that money directly, and ZONEPLAY may pause or remove a coach who does not.
  • Paying coaches: for a session paid in the app, the coach is owed the session price and the service fee is ZONEPLAY's. The coach can withdraw it to their own bank account or e-wallet once the session has ended and our payment provider has cleared the payment, less a transfer fee shown before they confirm. A session refunded to a player is not paid to the coach.
  • Coach conduct: ZONEPLAY may pause or remove a coach profile if players are put at risk or the coach terms are broken. While a coach profile is paused, money the coach has earned stays on record and payouts wait.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the Service, and the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be brought before the proper courts of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, to the exclusion of other venues, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
